Restrained Shopping Spree

Picture heavy! And wow, first blog post in over half a year~ I still don't know how to use blogspot~

As awkward as it sounds, I love and hate shopping, or just buying anything in general. Yet, I think almost any girl can relate to the feeling. I hate the thought of my money diminishing, but I love getting new things! I've been trying my best to save my limited amount of money since my return from Korea (a trip which I splurged on) and managed to successfully spend most of my spending money mainly on food and essentials!

Now Winter Break comes along, and now I can take care of my mother (who was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer the week before my Fall Semester began and currently is going through chemo-therapy), who felt bad that I didn't buy anything new since the Summer. Oh my mother... I'm so grateful that she is nice enough to insist that I buy things, but I feel terrible at the same time! Of course, she has one request at my expenses: I must help her buy wigs.

I feel that it's a very unbalanced deal between my mom and I, but she has always enjoyed buying me clothes and accessories when I don't ask for them. I just think she likes dressing me up (like a girl likes to dress up her dolls, haha).

Here, I shall list what I can, of the things she let me buy, over the past 5 weeks of my Winter Break. I thought I was done, but we went to Little Tokyo today and actually encouraged me to pick things for her to buy for herself and for me... Gee, I really owe my mom a lot just for this past winter break!

SAI Annual Chocolate Tasting!

This evening, we finally held our long-awaited annual Chocolate Tasting event. This was my first time attending said event, and I was amazed at the tremendous amount of chocolate goodies we had! It was a lot more than I expected--I was really shocked. As per the advertising and the traditional background behind the event, the outcome was also great.

I finally saw Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, a cute claymation movie--Wallace and Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death, and the first third of the movie Hook. It really was an enjoyable night and I just love all of the puns in Wallace and Gromit plus all of the hidden innuendos heh~

LOL This nasty looking pile is actually a delicious set of fudgy brownies topped with Ghirardelli fudge. Someone thought I spiked the fudge LOL but I certainly did not!

seriously. I don't think I want to eat chocolate anymore. LMAO

picking up the pace

Well, that love interest of mine is certainly out of the picture! After Korean-American Student's Association (KASA) Ski Trip, I called him to catch up and see what's going on. He's been having some struggles with personal things and school things, but in other news, he told me that he had actually been dating me while in a relationship with another girl! What an asshole! I told him to tell her because I cannot stand for dishonesty in any relationship--be it romantic or platonic friendship. The thing is that despite him lying to me, I was willing to forgive him... His girlfriend broke up with him, and I should have ending things as well, but my mother said to me something that opposed what everyone else told me: "If it is what fate has for you, then fate will bring you two together, just don't let it be easy for him." Okay, so this may be the most stereotypical love thing that can be said, but seriously, I was surprised, because I told my mom everything, and yet she reacted in a way I didn't expect her to. I thought she'd tell me not to talk to him ever again, and just to forget him because he isn't worth my time... but here she is, telling me to be willing to give him another chance...

Sadly, I drunk texted him recently and I spilled the beans about how I was willing to forgive him and I would rather take my chances now than lose him, but he said to me, "I just don't want a relationship right now"... and it's understandable considering the issues he's going through. I cried that night because I want to support him--I don't want him to carry that burden alone, but he wants to. Oh well~

I've made close friends with a few instrumentalists, and this Freshman Soprano who sits next to me in choir. We've had some good hang outs, lunches, drunk nights, and movie nights! I feel stupid because I kissed one of the guys when I was intoxicated LOL

Last night was SHIBUYA LOVERS NIGHT hosted by SHOCK BOX and KIMMELA GALS and I went alone, hoping someone I knew was going to be there and luckily there was! lol Skylar was there, and it was really an enjoyable night to make new friends and bond with acquaintances and old friends.

I went outside for a bit of air, and lo and behold, my best friends(?) were outside. They had gone karaoke/NRB and were all dressed up ready to head inside to the event, but said they ran out of money... They didn't expect me to be there... and then I turned away for a second, and they left.
Not even a wave with the hello, not a hug, or an excited "what's up." My friendship with them really died, and I still don't even know why. They won't even tell me.

It's alright, there are more opportunities at this age to make more friends, memories, and enjoy my youth! Like this event!

MLK weekend with Addie!

I spent a very eventful weekend with my dear friend Addie! Upon arriving in Irvine to spend the weekend at her apartment, we rushed with her friend YI to work out at the gym for an hour and dear god, as painful as it was, it was very fulfilling. I'm still sore but I like it :)
Addie and I ate dinner at a yummy place called Itriya which has Korean pasta and pizzas in addition to Italian pasta and pizza. The decor was very nice and I took pictures of the cactus... because... well... I have a dirty mind

1. Hmm at the moment, I'm between Kaskade and Deadmau5 LOL I've been getting into House recently... I kind of like Swedish House Mafia for their beats, but I definitely seem to have a feel more for Kaskade and Deadmau5 for their "gliding" kind of style.
2. The first thing is to redo taxes so that the 1% pays more per their income than the 99% and half of the taxes would go to support those who don't have an income lol
3. I started blogging.... because... Well I started blogging on xanga when I was 12 to just record my daily fandom and... nonexistent life HAHA but now I do it not only to keep track of what I do, but to share it and the things I do for a hobby, like practicing my nail art (I still suck)
4. I'm different in that I've matured, and now that I've made mistakes or experience pain, I know that the world isn't all rainbows and unicorns... LOL but I'm still nuts.
5. Musicians inspire me, I admire how they/we all have that creativity to create music, or to express it. I admire teachers who enjoy their job and get that good feeling from when they know their students are learning. That's why I want to be a music teacher, and possibly a performer or producer :3
6. The best thing so far was meeting Ryan at da club. LOL just kidding, that's only in my love life. In my whole life, the best thing that happened to me was learning about music.

I'd like to learn Korean fluently because I want to appeal to Ryan's parents LOL ahahaha and I want to learn Japanese so I can read the magazines and fend for myself when I go into the beautiful Shibuya109 when I go to Japan next year, Tagalog so I can just not fumble all over myself when I try to speak it in the Philippines, and French so that when Ryan and I visit his sister, I would completely understand instead of just having a vague comprehension with my basic French.
9. Honestly, no, I haven't been in love. With my exes, I always knew it would end, and couldn't see myself marrying any of them. When they'd talk about the places we'd go in the future, or tell me they loved me, I'd get the chills--in a bad way. HAHA but now that I've met Ryan, I think I'm falling in love, but I keep telling myself I'm not. I've dreamt that I got married to him and grew old with him ahaha but when I wake up, I tell myself, it was just a dream!
10. My favorite song is Misty. The lyrics are just so sweet and pure. I can really relate in that sense. Then the composition is just so mellow and ugh, I love it! The range isn't for me, but I love singing it and I like the melody. It's so pretty.

1. I would get a tattoo of an octopus wrapped around a G Clef because I love octopus, it's my favorite animal, and a G Clef because music is my life and I'm a soprano so all most of my range is in the G Clef staff haha

10. Friendship is companionship, trust, love, and support. Dependence on each other and independence at the same. I used to have that kind of trust that even though a friend and I don't talk for a long time, that the love was still there, but certain friendships have made me doubt that doing that is good for me, but I know that it's the best way to have a friendship. If I keep doubting, I become dependent on that friendship, but to be alone is also a good thing.
11. My most memorable moment... hehehe. It was when Ryan approached me at da club. HEHEHEHE I was like, "Oh~ a cute namja is interested in me. What a nice scenario"

Around that after-Christmas time where everyone goes shopping, my mom forced me to go with her to shop and got me a leopard print leggings and make up bag in addition to other things which I do not recall. Addie and I hung out that week too and spent like a half hour in Kinokuniya looking at stationary LOL I got a cute one in addition to a JELLY magazine, and some decorative tape. I think I also bought other things....

Then when my brother drove me to LA, we passed by this van filled with balloons and there were a ton of balloons hanging out of their window LOL

Addie and I went to hang out at Pershing Square to do some ice skating, I did a post on it on Tumblr, so I'll just copy+paste what I wrote lol

Addie and I went to ice skate and it was so hilariously fun. We were joking about the cute staff guys and speeding between slow people. I fell twice and the first time was horrible because I fell on my ass and my phone was in my butt pocket… and these girls were laughing at me but whatever ahaha I was skating too fast and the ice wasn’t smooth.
