Restrained Shopping Spree

Picture heavy! And wow, first blog post in over half a year~ I still don't know how to use blogspot~

As awkward as it sounds, I love and hate shopping, or just buying anything in general. Yet, I think almost any girl can relate to the feeling. I hate the thought of my money diminishing, but I love getting new things! I've been trying my best to save my limited amount of money since my return from Korea (a trip which I splurged on) and managed to successfully spend most of my spending money mainly on food and essentials!

Now Winter Break comes along, and now I can take care of my mother (who was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer the week before my Fall Semester began and currently is going through chemo-therapy), who felt bad that I didn't buy anything new since the Summer. Oh my mother... I'm so grateful that she is nice enough to insist that I buy things, but I feel terrible at the same time! Of course, she has one request at my expenses: I must help her buy wigs.

I feel that it's a very unbalanced deal between my mom and I, but she has always enjoyed buying me clothes and accessories when I don't ask for them. I just think she likes dressing me up (like a girl likes to dress up her dolls, haha).

Here, I shall list what I can, of the things she let me buy, over the past 5 weeks of my Winter Break. I thought I was done, but we went to Little Tokyo today and actually encouraged me to pick things for her to buy for herself and for me... Gee, I really owe my mom a lot just for this past winter break!

So, this started off with me buying a few things on eBay for the first time, and I ended up getting the snapback flatbill hat that Tablo wears, "BLOSHITUP." It came with a random pair of KPop socks; mine were Nicole from KARA. It was kind of funny for me because there is a "Korean celebrity look alike" app that said several times that I look like her (which I don't believe).

I also bought an eyelash set for a dollar with $5 shipping from Hong Kong with speedy shipping.

Soon after that, I went shopping for Christmas presents for my friends and family, but I ended up getting lashes again, and a free bento hahaha

While shopping at the Korean market in Little Tokyo, my mother allowed me to get the Hario V60 coffee pour-over along with a coffee grinder, and I got some coffee beans at Whole Foods afterwards. I'm kind of a coffee lover.

For Christmas, my mom got me MAC make up and there is just a SkinFood sample in the picture because it had recently opened in the Glendale Galleria. My dad and brother made and bought a board for me! It's just a simple purple deck, cheetah print grip tape, cruising jelly wheels, and standard trucks. Although it's a simple combination, I love it! I really wanted a Hook-ups deck that had a purple base color, a mermaid (I suppose it's Ariel because she had red hair) without boobie-shells, and purple octopus tentacles wrapped around her. My brother said it was a bad idea to get it because my mother would have disapproved of the topless mermaid posing seductively with tentacles, and because of the fact that the deck was $45. It's okay, I can live without it~

Oh then came New Year... I ended up buying a pair of black studded sweatpants and a studded backpack from GALSTAR on Rakuten, and a couple of fukubukuros (my mom just wanted to have the purses, and I get all of the clothes ahaha)

And I went on yet another trip to SkinFood and bought a couple of hand creams, lip balm, and their popular Black Sugar Mask (wash off).

The Black Sugar Mask looks like poop in a jar.

I also got a free umbrella LOL

I go to Little Tokyo more often than I should but I bought this hair-scrub-off thing... I wonder if it will work

My mom bought me $60 pants for $30... when I really didn't care whether I have them or not, but I actually really like them, both the material and color! They are from LOFT.

And here is my haul from today. I have no idea why my mom decided to spend so much at KIMSKI. They used a popcorn bag for my collar necklace, so cute~

Pearl Collar Necklace - $22

Sorry, this picture really doesn't give any clue on the shape, cut, or fit of it, but it's really pretty, fits well, and thin. It's black but breathable for the upcoming warm seasons. 100% cotton though...
The reason why I didn't take a picture of me wearing it? No reason, I'm just slightly lazy.
Leopard Lace Hi-Lo Dress $46
(brand) Nameless

These are my mom's. I don't know why she really likes these, but when we got home, she immediately put them on without taking the tag off haha
Arrow Bangles $16 $8

She was about to buy matching rings for me and her, but when she realized that the rings were knuckle rings (they are supposed to be worn on the middle knuckle of whatever finger it fits on, instead of at the base of the finger), she didn't like them anymore just because she thought they didn't fit (or didn't like the way they're supposed to fit).

We then went to cosmetic stores and she bought Dolly Wink eyebrow pencil liner (because her eyebrows are losing hair rapidly... but the thing is, she also just really likes Dolly Wink), a fancy mirror (she really likes mine so she bought one similar), and some cute small cases which she wants me to use for vitamins.

I had a long day in Little Tokyo with my mom today, but she surprisingly was energetic the whole time! I guess eating at Shin-sen-gumi really filled her appetite because she usually gets tired and cranky after an hour of being out.

She also bought a new wig... Here's a picture of me wearing one that my aunt sent from the Philippines.

My mom thought that the curls on this one didn't suit her, so she had my brother and me take her to Anaheim just to buy this one wig. It turns out that it was a really good buy for her because she loves it, and I have a feeling she'll wear it every day now. I don't have a picture of her wearing that one, but I'm hoping that she'll let me play with that one too ahaha

I need to change my layout.
